About Fighter/Lover:
Figher/Lover began in the cellar of our own Low Key Studios, writing, recording, and producing songs in the spirit of love--the only thing worth fighting for.
Each of their songs can be likened to the adrenaline-infused heartbeat of the warrior, resonating beneath an armored suit of electronic beats and saw-toothed orchestras. Their melodies are their rallying cries and are delivered to you with the love that is typically reserved for one’s enemies.
They have a hearty appetite for playing shows and will go to battle with the same gung-ho conviction whether they are facing 12 or 1200. The dance floor is their battle ground and their call to arms is the smiling faces and sweaty bodies dancing what could be their last dance.
Fighter/Lover is: Roey Shemesh - bass, vocals
Howard Goldbach - synth, sampler, vocals

So there's a new face in the Fighter/Lover family. Her name is Nicole
Norris and you'll have to fight not to love her (put me away).
She's a great singer, a stylish chick, and a good friend of ours
so we didn't have to beg her too hard to sing some songs with us.
Nicole will be performing with us at our next show.
April 10-2009:
Hey hey everyone. Hope you are all well and doing your thing for the Spring.
We've just returned from Waterloo Ont., where we played with Mother Mother, an unstoppable band from Vancouver. The show was really fun and we met some new friends there. The night before we were at the Boat in Toronto and had a blast. Lots of beer spilling went down and some good fun was had. The Boat show also saw the debut of our visual accompaniment, a screen that reads our thoughts and emotions as we play up on the stage. At first the screen would only project beer commercials and episodes of Seinfeld, but eventually we trained it to read more of our deeper, more profound feelings.
We're getting ready to ship off for another small run at the end of May that will take us to our beloved New York City for two shows and then to Montreal. Check the shows page for exact details.
Some plans are in the works for a video project, coming soon to your computer. We'll keep you posted on that as we develop it.
We're also fastidiously working out all the details to our new, full length album. Some cool new tracks are in the works, so listen for those.
All the Best,
F/L

Things are a-buzz at the Fighter/Lover camp this fall. We're going head-first into a booking campaign that will bring us back out playing shows with some new songs you've never heard before, and some old ones that maybe you miss. We plan on doing a few hometown Toronto shows throughout the coming months and venturing out to far off, exotic locales like Quebec, and NYC, as well as doing some southern Ontario gigs. Check out the Shows section for more specific details.
